Hello model friends!

Spring is already busy and with it the trade fairs and exhibitions this year.

​

A part of our association therefore visited on 11-12. March again the Gomo 2017 in the Museum of Military History in Vienna, which is known to be housed in the Arsenal (only about 10 minutes walk from Vienna Central Station)

.

Although the museum alone is worth a visit, the combination with the model building exhibition and an admission ticket is more than just an insider tip.

This was occupied not only by the queue at the entrance, but also by the buses from neighboring countries. This international diversity is also reflected in the exhibitors and dealers, who presented wonderful exhibits and offered shopping experiences.

​

That dealer offer was really great this year and with you a variety of models, which is not so easy to find.

​

Of course, the hours together, conversations and jokes with like-minded people, interested parties and visitors round off this great fair; of course with our colleagues from MBF Neumarkt/Oberpfalz.

​

I can congratulate our Martina (Buchinger) on her unique exhibit "Metal Locomotive Model", which was not only photographed diligently, but also repeatedly provided funny moments, since mostly the gentlemen were asked about it & structural engineering questions were asked, which were immediately answered were forwarded to our Martina with a grin and were answered "professionally" by her.

Here, too, it should be noted (you can't say it often enough ;-)) that our ladies and their models on this excursion represent a real enrichment during this visit to the fair.

​

So I can only congratulate the organizers - great job again, the GOMO is and will remain a fixed date in our calendar, we'd love to come back.
